My passion for photography began in 2005 after I retired from a career in engineering and has become an outlet for my artistic endeavors. I am a self-taught photographer and my work is, and always will be, a work in progress because there is always more to learn and experience. All of my work is digital, from taking the initial photograph to making the print. I use my camera as a painter would use a sketchpad to capture quickly a visual idea. Then, I take the image to my digital darkroom, refining it and exploring the possibilities of how to present it to the viewer.
Photography challenges me to “see” as well as look, to turn the mundane into art, and to find new ways of presenting the world around me.
